I have used previous versions of QuickBooks and this works just as well as the version I used to run. People were complaining about design issues and the software's gray GUI graphic user interface.
They said it "wouldn't please the graphic designer in you". Well guess what I AM a graphic designer and the design is fine. It is a finance program and designed accordingly. The reason I deducted a star: The only thing that I have noticed is that after a lot of use and keeping it open for a long period of time it crashes.
You just open it back up and start working again. It crashes on me a few times a day but I have been using it for 14 hours or more at a time. If you use it to just open and enter some items on a regular basis this shouldn't happen to you or if you only use it for an hour's work. It also might be due to the fact that I'm using multiple monitors and going in and out of the program and into other processes just a tip for when the staff reads this.
I would however, like to see the monthly fee for a mobile integrated solution eliminated android app. They should build an app that allows you to email yourself a file or sync with your computer and then open it within the computer to update your QuickBooks interactions outside the office.
Eliminating any cloud service this way should bypass the fee associated with this. Only if you use cloud based services should you then be charged the monthly fee. Even though we were fine with our product and desire none of the added features or extras, our accountant updated our file and wham, we can no longer use it.
There is no way for our accountant to use our file and save it as useable for us. This is a BS ploy to force people into buying upgrades they do not need. So, it is tax time, I will upgrade this one time then Intuit can blow the next time I have to update accounting software I will not use this company. Sounded simple enough. Then I wasted time and money doing the electronic download version of , first, it changed everything and our company file would not work.
Then, our accountant cannot open this because he now will have to upgrade to All the while Intuit support balks at our insolence for wanting compatible software with less headaches and passes us from one non English speaking moron to the next for FOUR HOURS on the phone and disconnects and loses the call starting us over 5 times.
Finally, I took them up on their return guarantee, no reply, no response in two weeks now, no refund, nada. They will not even reply. I see they respond to these reviews but no reply to my return request. Basically, for the price of this install to screw up your books and waste your time and money, you can get the disc and a free Sam's membership for the same price.
Now, on a personal note. As it is tax time, and this process is frustrating for business owners and the general population alike. Add to it being forced to waste money on something I did not want and did not need until we trusted the software maker to be fair and rational. Then top it off with screwed up books, total waste of more time with support and a complete lack of reply to our refund request. My opinion is everyone at Intuit can burn in the fieriest depths of whatever hell can be thought up.
Not one of you scumbag sell out greedy pigs or the morons who work for you deserve a job and I hope you whole damn company goes belly up due to a software accounting problem and sends you all begging for scraps and digging through trash cans for food. If it happens, and I can come across one of you dumpster diving for your dinner, I will be pleased as punch to stop your starving ass so I can force you to upgrade your dumpster shoes and goodwill coat before you can eat simply so I can make a buck off of you.
